In an interview with Movie Man Broadcasting, actor Sidhique shared his experience working with Pranav Mohanlal. He was speaking to the media as part of the promotion of his upcoming film, Neru, directed by Jeethu Joseph.
The actor said that Pranav had an unexpected but honest perspective on everything. “You will learn that he is well-versed in a variety of subjects when you speak with him informally or seriously. Pranav is also not reluctant to raise doubts,” he added.

Sidhique had played Mohan Varma, father of Pranav Mohanlal’s character, in the latter’s debut film, Aadhi, released in 2018. Jeethu Joseph directed the action thriller, which also starred Lena, Aditi Ravi, Anusree, Sharaf U Dheen, and Jagapathi Babu.
The actor’s recent release was Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon’s Garudan, which is streaming on Amazon Prime.
Working with Mohanlal
Sidhique remarked that Mohanlal was already a superstar in Malayalam when the former entered the industry. “Like everybody, even I am excited whenever I meet him in the sets on the first day of any shoot. However, I am at ease whenever the shoot begins. Mohanlal has always been the same person I met the first day, though he did grow as an actor over the years,” he said.
The duo has worked in several films together, including Aaraattu and 12th Man, recently. Sidhique, who had eight releases such as Christopher, 2018 and Corona Papers in 2023, is also working on Jeethu Joseph and Mohanlal’s next film, Ram.
Neru to release on December 21
Neru, which is bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, will be available on Disney+ Hotstar after releasing in theatres. The movie's trailer has received over 1.5 million views on YouTube since its release earlier this month. The courtroom drama also has Jagadish, Priyamani, Ganesh Kumar, Anaswara Rajan, and Santhi Mayadevi in lead roles. Sidhique will also be playing a lawyer’s role in this film.
