Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently made headlines for her Diwali party. Now, the Mary Kom actress is again in the news, this time for selling her Mumbai apartments for a whopping amount.
Director, screenwriter, and producer Abhishek Chaubey (Udta Punjab) purchased two of Priyanka Chopra's penthouses in Mumbai. The actress fetched an astounding Rs. 6 crore for the sale of her 2,292 square foot (sq ft) residences in Mumbai's Andheri neighborhood.
Priyanka Chopra has two penthouses at the Lokhandwala Complex in Oshiwara, Andheri, Mumbai, according to a Money Control report. Situated on a higher floor, the first penthouse is around 860 square feet in size. It was sold for Rs 2.25 crore. According to the paperwork, the second penthouse, which has a total area of 1,432 square feet, was purportedly sold for Rs 3.75 crore. In total, approximately Rs. 36 lakh was paid in stamp duty for the properties in the two transactions that were registered on October 23 and October 25, respectively.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas' work front
On the professional front, Priyanka Chopra was last seen in the second season of the Prime Video series Citadel. The spy thriller was created by Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh, and David Weil and was directed by Newton Thomas Sigel and Jessica Yu. She was most recently seen in the Netflix film, Love Again opposite Sam Heughan.
Her next role will be in Ending Things, starring alongside Idris Elba and John Cena as Heads of State, alongside Anthony Mackie and Ilya Naishuller. She is also reportedly in talks with Farhan Akhtar for the role of a female lead in Ranveer Singh starrer Don 3.
Apart from these projects, the actress was also supposed to star in Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar's Zee Le Zaraa with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. However, with date issues turning out to be a big hiccup, the project is said to be shelved. No official announcement on the same has been made yet.
