Raashi Khanna has had a formidable run in Telugu cinema with a fine balance of star-projects and films that offered her an opportunity to tap the performer in her. After World Famous Lover with Vijay Deverakonda, Raashi hasn’t had a Telugu release for over years and she’s relieved to break the dry spell with the entertainer Pakka Commercial, directed by Maruthi.

Pakka Commercial, touted to be the remake of Jolly LLB 2, is headlined by Gopichand, with whom Raashi is collaborating for the third time after Oxygen and Jil. Ahead of the film’s release on July 1, the cast and crew of the courtroom comedy came together for a media interaction. At the meet, Raashi told that the film was special for her for many reasons.

“It’s great to be back in action in Telugu cinema after the pandemic. When I and Maruthi (garu) were working on Prathi Roju Pandage, he promised to give me a role that’s twice as entertaining as Angel Aarna. I was thrilled that my portion in the teaser went viral; that’s just a glimpse, the film has loads of fun to offer. I’m happy with the response for the song Andala Raasi too,” she said.

“This is my third film with Gopichand and audiences have always enjoyed our on-screen chemistry. Having known Allu Aravind garu for long, he has been among the people to have believed in my abilities since the very beginning. The film is extra special for a lot of reasons; the main motive of the film is to make you have a good laugh,” Raashi added.

With cinematography by Karm Chawla, the film has music by Jakes Bejoy and also stars Sathyaraj, Sapthagiri and Rao Ramesh in crucial roles. Bunny Vaas has produced the film and Allu Aravind is the presenter.
