Hombale Films kicks off an eventful 2023 with the slice-of-life comedy-drama Raghavendra Stores. With their trusted collaborator Santhosh Ananddram leading from the front and veteran star Jaggesh bringing his trademark style on board, the film promises to offer a perfect family experience at the movies.
The team had recently organized a special celebrity premiere show ahead of the scheduled theatrical release on April 28. The pre-release premiere was a studded affair with some of the biggest names of the Kannada film industry joining in on the celebrations. And as expected, the celebs have shared largely encouraging reviews of the film with Jaggesh's comic timing, the one-liners and the emotional climax of the film being highlighted the most.
"Santhosh Ananddram's films generally boast great climax sequences and I was waiting for the climax of this film because of that reason. I think it's a really beautiful message - I can't tell you what it is but do watch the film. And Jaggesh sir, it is so surprising in those emotional moments that it's the same man who made us laugh all this while - just the way he expresses it. It's a beautiful film, everyone must watch it," said Rakshit Shetty. The Sapta Sagaradaache Ello actor will soon be part of the Hombale Films family through his upcoming directorial Richard Anthony.
Kantara writer, director and actor Rishab Shetty echoed Rakshit's sentiments and described Raghavendra Stores as a 'beautiful content film'. "It's been a while since I had laughed this much in a movie hall. This film will make you laugh for 1.5 hours and the last 20 minutes will make you cry. Amazing performance by Jaggesh anna, Shwetha Shrivatsa and Dattanna," wrote Rishab in his tweet.
Film producer Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, who was present at the celeb show, shared similar praise for the film. Many would know that Santhosh Ananddram directed Puneeth Rajkumar in the all-time blockbuster Raajakumaara and the action-drama Yuvarathnaa (both films being Hombale productions).
The celeb premiere show also saw Sapthami Gowda, Jaggesh's brother and actor Komal Kumar, Yuva actor Yuva Rajkumar, Gurudev Hoysala actor Naveen Shankar, Vikrant Rona director Anup Bhandari, Martin director A.P. Arjun and others in attendance.
