Ram Pothineni's first Tamil-Telugu bilingual in his career, The Warriorr, will release across the globe on July 14. Directed by N Lingusamy, the film produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen also features Krithi Shetty as the female lead. Aadhi Pinisetty is cast as the antagonist, while Nadhiya too plays a crucial role. The film's trailer launch was held in Anantapur yesterday. Here's what Ram Pothineni had to say at the event.
"I heard film events aren't organised often in Anantapur and told that it would be wonderful to do our trailer launch here. I thank Boyapati garu for launching our trailer, and when he unveiled it, means the film is already half-successful. My director Lingusamy has a habit of forgetting names on stage. I talked about all the cast, crew that he missed out on but ironically missed discussing his contribution itself. Today, I'll begin by talking about him first," he said.
"Not many may know but some of the best scenes in several Telugu commercial hits were inspired from Lingusamy's films - the directors have personally told me that. I always believe the lead character in any story is a reflection of a director's real-life personality. The Warriorr is a film with genuine emotions and he's (my director) an equally genuine person. It was a privilege to work with him," Ram further added.
As a parting shot, he told, "I enjoyed sharing screen space with my brother Aadhi Pinisetty and it was a joy to team up with Krithi Shetty. There's so much crowd out here today that people are being forced to leave early. I'll see you all at the theatres on July 14." He also thanked Siva Karthikeyan for releasing the Tamil trailer theatrically. Devi Sri Prasad has scored the music for the film which has cinematography by Sujith Vaassudev.
