The film is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual and is a cop drama with Ram essaying the police officer's role. The film also marks Lingusamy's debut in Tollywood. Music for the film is by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography is by Sujith Vaassudev of Lucifer fame. While action directors Anbu and Arivu have choreographed the stunts, Navin Nooli has edited the film.
It was not long ago that the makers had announced that the film will hit screens on July 14. #THEWARRIORR is coming to you on the 14th of JULY!馃挜 Love.. #RAPO," Ram Pothineni had written on his social media page. The star cast for the film comprises Aadhi Pinisetty, who is said to be playing the prime antagonist and his character is said to be one of the highlights of the film. Krithi Shetty, who is currently part of Suriya's film with director Bala, plays the leading lady opposite Ram and will essay the role of a radio jockey. The action entertainer is tentatively being referred to as RAPO 19.
Ram is said to be dubbing for his own lines in Tamil and we hear, is quite excited about the same. The actor is said to be well versed in the language. The majority of the portions were shot in Hyderabad.
The film is also said to be a sort of comeback for director Lingusamy, who hasn't churned out many films in the recent years. His last releases were Sandakozhi 2 ( 2018) and Anjaan (2014), both of which failed to create any ripples at the box office. Hence, all eyes are now on RAPO 19.
