Ranbir Kapoor said that he avoids social media and shares less about himself so that his fans can connect with his characters and be more interested in watching him on screen. Also, he thought of himself as "boring" and believed that he could not always keep people entertained on social media.

He said that there are a lot of reasons for this, but he thinks that the mystery that used to surround performers is slowly going away. People are less likely to see the actors in theatres, in his opinion, since they are watching us everywhere on screens while promoting or running advertisements, and they are also seeing us on social media. So, RK thought that he should show his character in a less obvious way so that the audience could connect with it and believe it.

The actor recently celebrated the success of his movie Brahmastra: Part One: Shiva, and now he is promoting Tu Jhooti Main Makkar, in which he stars with Shraddha Kapoor.

Ranbir was on Kapil Sharma's comedy-based reality show with Shraddha and Anubhav Singh Bassi to promote his movie. The host grilled him on his movie as well as his decision to avoid social media in light of how active most actors are there.

He said that having a lot of responsibility on social media, where you have to entertain people by making reels or posting pictures, made it hard for him to do all of these things because he thought he was "boring." Although he mentions that he follows his favourite people on a false social media account.

Ranbir concluded by saying that because he has a really boring personality and one has to keep people entertained on social media, he feels that being on social media is a great duty. The actor is content not to be a part of this additional job since he doesn't want it in his life. Also, one must always wish everyone on social media a happy birthday; otherwise, trolling will occur. Ranbir follows his favourite folks on a false social media account that he has. He doesn't have a formal account, but he does have a profile that is anonymous.
