Director Prasanth Varma made heads turn with the blockbuster hit HanuMan. The film made just over Rs 300 crore at the box office and made him a name to reckon with in Indian cinema. Varma announced Jai HanuMan, a sequel to HanuMan, on a grand note.

But suddenly, news came out that Prashanth Varma met star hero Ranveer Singh and narrated him a script. The news turned out to be that Prasanth Varma, in one of his interviews, revealed that the film will go on floors soon. Cut to Hyderabad, Ranveer Singh and Prasanth Varma were spotted at Annapurna Studios shooting for the promo.
The stage was set for a massive announcement, and then, news broke out that the project had been shelved due to differences between Ranveer Singh and Prasanth Varma.
