There’s immense anticipation around Ram Charan’s upcoming films, more so after the star’s popularity post the monstrous success of his historical fiction drama RRR. While Acharya was a blot on his filmography, his next with director Shankar, is expected to set the record straight. The political drama, produced by Dil Raju, marks Kiara Advani’s comeback to Telugu cinema.
Nearly three-quarters of RC15’s shoot has been wrapped already. The team recently took part in a week-long schedule in New Zealand to film a romantic number featuring the lead pair. The song shoot was completed earlier today, with Ram Charan confirming the news through his social media handle. Reports suggest that the makers had spent Rs 15 crore alone for the number.
The song shoot had commenced last Wednesday in the country. Ram Charan wrote, “And it’s a wrap in New Zealand song & it’s visuals are fabulous @shankarshanmugh garu,@BoscoMartis & @DOP_Tirru made it even more special.@advani_kiara stunning as always @MusicThaman u nailed it again @ManishMalhotra @AalimHakim thank you fr amazing looks. @SVC_official.”
Several scenic locales were chosen in the country to film the song for over 8 days. Idlebrain’s report says that the shoot took off at Dunedin and proceeded at the man-made lake Dunstan, open areas in the outskirts of Queenstown and another waterbody, lake Tekapo. The next schedule of RC15 will be held in Andhra Pradesh in the latter half of December.
Ram Charan is cast as an IPS officer in the project, the 50th of the producers, Sri Venkateswara Creations. Anjali, Sunil, Srikanth, Viswant Duddumpudi, Jayaram, Naveen Chandra, Vennela Kishore, Priyadarshi and SJ Suryah play other key roles in RC15, which has music by S Thaman. This is incidentally also director Shankar’s first-ever Telugu film. Most of his previous Telugu dubbed films have been commercial successes in AP and Telangana.
