Tamil star Siddharth’s latest movie Chithha has already begun receiving high praise, ahead of its theatrical release on September 28. The makers of the movie, which is helmed by SU Arun Kumar, had a preview for the film in Kochi recently that was attended by Malayalam actor Antony Varghese, who was visibly bowled over by the film’s performances and story .

Soon after the preview of Chithha, which also has Malayalam actors Nimisha Sajayan and Anjali Nair as part of the cast, Antony Varghese interacted with the media and revealed what appealed the most to him about the movie.

The RDX star praised Siddharth’s performance as well as his effort to produce such a movie, which he added was “high in artistic quality” and “thrilling at the same time”. “Hats off to Siddharth bro’s guts for acting and producing this film. It’s a must-watch film for all family audience in theatres. There are characters in it whom you wanted to punch in the face and there are others for whom you would feel sympathy,” he said.

Chithha revolves around the relationship between an uncle and his niece and how an incident turns their life topsy-turvy, prompting the family to gather courage to rise up. Chithha will clash with Chandramukhi 2 and Iraivan in Tamil and Mammootty’s Kannur Squad in Malayalam in theatres.

Siddharth expresses interest to work in Malayalam again

Meanwhile, Siddharth, who had previously worked in Rathish Ambat’s period satire Kammarasambhavam in Malayalam, talked about how the audience in Kerala have always been kind to his work – starting from the Boys days 20 years ago.

The actor also expressed interest in collaborating with other Malayalam filmmakers including Lal Jose and scriptwriters such as Bobby-Sanjay duo. Siddharth also revealed that he had been in discussions with Jeethu Joseph for a movie and hopes that something could materialise soon.
