Richa-Ali found out about pregnancy very late

While revealing that they found out about their pregnancy pretty late, Richa told Zoom that the first thing she did was call the producers of the film she was shooting for. The makers congratulated her. The actress was not sure because there could be false alarms, but suddenly, she and Ali Fazal were planning life.

Heeramandi released earlier than she expected

To her surprise, Heeramandi also released earlier than expected. She thought it would be out on Netflix later in the year since Sanjay Leela Bhansali likes to continue editing his projects to polish them. She then spoke about how Ali Fazal stepped up since she had to promote Heeramandi during the time.

In order to avoid speculation, Richa chose to reveal the news herself, in her own way. Her announcement was quite quirky, since she included a (not actually correct) maths formula and pregnancy emoji, before actually revealing the image. In a two-slide image, Richa shared the maths formula, 1+1=3, which was followed by a monochrome image of her with Ali. They stood on each side of the door and looked into each other’s eyes. “A tiny heartbeat is the loudest sound in our world,” she had shared as a caption to the photo. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi, out on Netflix, is the first project Richa is seen in since the announcement.
