Ritabhari Chakraborty receives gifts from Deepika Padukone and here is why

Deepika Padukone is going to be a mother in September. After the official announcement, she flew to Gujarat’s Jamnagar with her husband Ranveer Singh. She had great fun at the pre-wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. As soon as she came back, she sent a bag full of gifts to Ritabhari Chakraborty. Ritabhari posted that photo on social media and thanked Deepika.

Ritabhari has worked on several projects in Bollywood. She is the only Tollywood actress who gets the invitation, along with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, to Baba Siddiqui's star-studded iftar party. Now, Deepika sent gifts to her on International Women’s Day.

How did the two become friends? Ritabhari told Anandabazar Online, “We are not friends. We met only once, in 2018, at the wedding of the director and producer Dinesh Bijan. We spoke then. I am elated to get such a gift on Friday.”

She also said that Deepika’s courtesy is a learning experience for her. “On Women's Day, Deepika's cosmetics company wanted to send gifts to a few women who did good work in their respective fields. They contacted me. I initially thought that I had to write something for the ad for her cosmetics in my story. But nothing like that. I posted it myself. I am elated to see that a star like Deepika is thinking about the new generation and encouraging them. The other celebs who have cosmetics brands just routinely touch the issue. Deepika is not like them. I learnt from her that not everything in life is for profit, but encouraging others proves bigness.”

Deepika sent things from her cosmetics brand 82 Degree East. There are also scented candles and a bathrobe.
