Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force dropped on Prime Video on January 19, 2024, and received great reviews from fans for Shilpa Shetty’s powerful and serious cop avatar, who takes no nonsense from any of her juniors and peers. Enjoying the success of the show as well as anticipating a similar response to Singham Again, Rohit Shetty opened up in an interview and gave a fresh update on it.

Rohit Shetty's update on Shakti Shetty solo film

Rohit Shetty announced his intentions of making a standalone film on Deepika Padukone’s Shakti Shetty. According to him, she is just like any of the other cop heroes, and he intends to move on with her story in a new direction in the cop-verse. “We will make a film which has only Deepika...it is her story,” admitted the acclaimed filmmaker.

He further clarified to ANI, that though people know the titular heroes of Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi from their films, Singham Again will be instrumental in introducing these new characters, before he is able to work on their individual stories. The character of Shakti Shetty, essayed by Deepika Padukone, has a prominent role in Singham Again.

Director Rohit Shetty also admitted that thanks to the influence of MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), actors are now ready to be a part of multi-starrer films without losing their individuality. But, he disclosed, that it was his flawless work relationship with the stars like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and Kareena Kapoor Khan, that earned him their trust and assured them that their skills and stardom will not be misused.

Shakti Shetty- the most brutal cop of Rohit Shetty's copverse

When Rohit Shetty had initially posted the first look of Deepika Padukone’s cop avatar, fans had been amazed. Never before had a female cop been shown with proper muscles, grit and brutality in Hindi Cinema. Nicknamed by Rohit Shetty himself as the “most brutal and violent officer” of his cop universe, a standalone project on Shakti Shetty sounds too good to be true.
