S.S. Rajamouli’s latest outing, RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR hit theatres across the globe on March 25 and the movie is blowing minds. The epic period action drama has even caught some big names in the film industry by surprise.

Among the many people who are taking to social media to marvel at Rajamouli’s latest creation, is fan-favourite Tamil filmmaker Atlee Kumar. Atlee took to Twitter to praise RRR and everyone related to the movie. The director said he loved the emotional mass entertainer and praised both Ram Charan and Jr NTR and their characters.

Atlee was not the only big Tamil filmmaker to comment on RRR on Twitter. Ace director S. Shankar also took time to praise RRR and called it an “unparalleled experience”.

RRR had its grand release yesterday after massive fanfare and this can be seen in the movie’s box office exploits. According to reports, the film’s share on the opening day in the Nizam area is a whopping Rs 23.3 crores.

The movie has also reportedly managed to find place in top five opening day collections during the pandemic era in the state of Tamil Nadu as well as becoming the first Indian film to collect $5 million in the USA, even before the counting of first day collections have finished.

Written and directed by Rajamouli, the movie is produced by DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainment. The movie follows the fictional tale of two real life pre-independence heroes, Alluri Sita Rama Raju and Komaram Bheem. The movie is available in theatres around the country.
