Sai Pallavi's Gargi to hit screens on July 15

Sai Pallavi's upcoming film, Gargi, is all set to hit screens on July 15. The actress made the announcement of the release date on her social media page today. She shared a poster of the film, and wrote, "#Gargi will be Yours from the 15th of July! @prgautham83 @kaaliactor @SakthiFilmFctry @2D_ENTPVTLTD (sic)." The announcement of the film was made on Sai Pallavi's birthday, earlier this year.

The film, which is touted to be an emotional courtroom drama, is directed by Gautham Ramachandarn, and has Kaali Venkat, Saravanan and Aishwarya Lekshmi in a cameo. Music for the film is by Govind Vasantha, cinematography by Sraiyanti and Premkrishna Akkattu and editing by Shafique Mohamed Ali. The film will also be released in Kannada, and this will be the first time that Sai Pallavi has dubbed for her lines in Kannada. The film will be presented by Suriya and Jyotika's 2D Entertainment. The makers had released a statement about Suriya and Jyotika, getting on board and stating that it gave immense pleasure to be associated with the duo.

Suriya, too had shared on his social media handle that he was glad to be associated with team Gargi. He wrote, "Jo & I are glad to associate with team #Gargi Some characters just stay in our minds! New thoughts and writing must be celebrated!Hope you all like it! @Sai_Pallavi92 #Jyotika @prgautham83 #AishwaryaLekshmi #GovindVasantha @kaaliactor @SakthiFilmFctry @blacky_genie @2D_ENTPVTLTD (sic)."

In the meantime, Sai Pallavi's latest release, Virata Parvam is all now streaming on Netflix. Calling the film and her character in it, one of the most memorable one ever, Sai Pallavi wrote, "Vennela from #VirataParvam is one of the most memorable roles I’ve had the good fortune of playing. It’s streaming on @NetflixIndia from today! And I’d like for you all to watch her journey! I can’t thank the team enough ❤️@RanaDaggubati @venuudugulafilm @SLVCinemasOffl (sic)."
