Tanya Hope was brought on board to essay the female lead in the project which is billed as a comic caper. The makers have now announced that the movie has gone on floors in Bengaluru.

Manoj Beedha's Agent Kannayiram and Rathna Kumar's Gulu Gulu are two projects Santhanam currently has in kitty. The former is the remake of Tollywood hit Agent Sai Srinivas Atreya (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), while the shooting of the latter was completed a while ago. The project was in the news recently when the director posted a picture of Santhanam dubbing for it.

The film with Santhanam and Tanya is Prashant's sixth movie in his career and his debut in Kollywood. Orange, starring Ganesh and Priya Anand which released in 2018, was his previous outing.
Santhanam was last seen in Sabhaapathy (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) which released a few months ago. Tanya's previous outing in Tamil was Dharala Prabhu (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) which was the remake of Bollywood movie Vicky Donor.
