When Rukmini Vasanth pitched herself for the lead role of director Hemanth M Rao’s Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, she was a one-film-old actor with no other work on hand at the time. Once chosen to be Rakshit Shetty’s pair, though, she was suddenly on everyone’s radar, bagging films with Ganesh, Sriimurali and Shivarajkumar shortly after, as well as one in Tamil with Vijay Sethupathi. And now, with Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A out, everyone’s taken note that she’s not only pleasing to the eye, but a good performer too. Some have even begun referring to her as Karnataka’s crush.
The love for Rukmini is only growing, now that Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A has dropped on OTT in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. There are tonnes of comments about the actress’ phenomenal performance, with some even saying that she’s the true protagonist of the film. Interestingly, many of the comments with glowing praise also mention her eyes. Comments range from, “ Heroine, oh my god she has beautiful eyes and beautiful acting”, to “Watch out for RukminiVasanth. Rukmini is the protagonist for me, Empathised more with her despite the jail tortures Rakshit had. It's Rukmini's eyes &Emotions that I carried out with me. Marvelous actor. Want to see more of her. She is the film!”, “#SaptaSagaradaacheEllo superb.. @rukminitweets excellent performance ... completely overshadowed whole cast ..ur eyes 🥰🤩 ..” among others.
Meanwhile, Rukmini, has just had her third release, Baanadariyalli with Ganesh this week and will be seen in Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B as well when it releases in theatres on October 27. Although Side B is likely to focus on Rakshit’s Manu once he returns after serving 10 years for a hit-and-run that he took upon himself for a promised payout, Hemanth has promised that he will provide closure to Priya’s relationship with him as well. Rukmini’s films with Sriimurali (Bagheera) and Shivarajkumar (Bhairathi Ranagal) are still in production, as also her Tamil debut with Vijay Sethupathi.
