Hemanth M Rao has finally begun treating fans with the awesome music of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello

Long before Sapta Sagaradaache Ello came to theatres, Hemanth M Rao had spoken about his love to tell stories through music and that this particular one, which he was presenting in two parts, would have as many as 12 songs. Not all of these would be stand-alone pieces, with many serving as scores to takes the narrative forward. Before the first instalment – Side A – came out, Hemanth released only 2 of the 6 from this film – the rap number Horaata and then, the super melodious title track. When the film then came out on September 1, audiences were in for a treat, as music director Charan Raj’s wizardry was finally unveiled. The music – songs and background score – were undoubtedly among the finer points of Hemanth’s film and now that it has been in theatres for a week, he has finally relented and released a portion of the song Kadalanu.

In the film, this is the song that firmly establishes what a talented singer Priya (Rukmini Vasanth) is and how much Manu (Rakshit) loves hearing her sing. Much as she loves singing, it’s something that she feels most comfortable doing for him. Written by Nagarjun Sharma and sung by Srilakshmi Belmannu, the song Kadalanu has a vast fan following already, not only because of its beautiful composition, but also for Rukmini’s cute avatar. With another six weeks to go for Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Sie B to be in theatres on October 20, fans have been hoping that Hemanth will treat them to some more of the music in the coming days. It could also be that the filmmaker will do one better and start giving us glimpses into the music of Side B after all. He had, in a recent interview, said that although he’d said 6 songs for Side B, he and Charan were toying with the idea of adding one more.
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, which also stars Avinash, Achyuth Kumar, Ramesh Indira, Yamuna Srinidhi, Gopalkrishna Deshpande and Sharath Lohithashwa, among others, will add Chaithra J Achar to the cast in Side B.
