The first volume of Scam 2003: The Telgi Story was unveiled recently. The five-episode series saw Gagan Dev Riar play the lead role of Abdul Karim Telgi, who ran the Stamp Paper scam. However, the scam is yet to be unfolded. The makers have now released a glimpse of the second volume of the show.
Here's what you can expect to see next:
Telgi double crossing his enemies
In the short promo, Telgi is seen recording all of his conversations with his business partners/enemies. As the opposite person makes a demand, Telgi agrees and keeps a recording of the demand. He has many tapes stored, in order to expose anyone who tries to double-cross him in business.
The new business site
In the previous volume, Telgi’s business site was burned down by rivals. He had to arrange for another site. Telgi has moved his business there. He also prints bank notes in his new business site but has to start from the scratch and he does not have the kind of support he had when he started initially.
Target of his ‘business partners’
Now that everybody knows that Telgi has nearly Rs. 1 crores in the year 2003, he has invited a target on his back. He reportedly spent Rs. 90 lakhs on his favourite bar dancer in one night. The first volume showed how he got instigated and spent his money without realizing it. Telgi then got phone calls from all across after media printed the news. He now has a target on his back and has to get back in the business anyway.
More filmy style
One thing that the show has been constant with is the filmy style. Telgi is likely to croon ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ again, as he tries to expose more people who are deeply involved with the scam. His darling dialogue might also make it to the second volume.
The complete breakdown
The upcoming volume is likely to see Abdul’s final arrest. He has been averting that for a long time but when it finally happens, he is most likely to break down, since his dream and family both would be lost in front of his eyes.
