Selfiee trailer announcement: Akshay Kumar drops a quirky video trying Instagram filters

Akshay Kumar is getting ready for the release of his new movie Selfiee, but he doesn't seem amused by the Gen Z trend of using Instagram filters. On Tuesday, Akshay posted a humorous video to his Instagram account in which he can be seen getting quite upset while repeatedly applying different IG filters to himself. However, Kumar finds it to be rather unpleasant and refers to filters as "fillers."

Akshay posted the interesting video on his social media accounts along with the caption, “Now you know why I called filters “fillers” because they really get under my skin #Selfiee Trailer coming soon. Stay tuned!” Fans are eager to see what he has in store, despite the fact that he withheld the release date for the video. Additionally, Selfiee is rumoured to be around a fan and star who are engaged in a fight.

Earlier, the actor shared the first motion poster of Selfiee and captioned, “Fans make a star. Fans can also break a star! Find out what happens when a fan turns against his Idol. Watch #Selfiee in cinemas on Feb 24th.”

Meanwhile, Selfiee is an official remake of the 2019 Malayalam movie "Driving Licence," which starred South actors Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in key parts. Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty, and Nushratt Bharuccha star in the Hindi remake.

Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi starrer Selfiee is scheduled to release on February 24, 2023. Directed by Raj Mehta, the movie is bankrolled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Kumar’s Cape of Good Films.
