We're barely a week away from catching director Krish Jagarlamudi's magnum opus Konda Polam on the big screen. Starring Panja Vaisshnav Tej, Rakul Preet Singh, Nasser, Sai Chand, Hema, Ravi Prakash and Kota Srinivasa Rao in key roles, the film is adapted from a Telugu novel written by Sannapureddy Venkatarami Reddy. After Obulamma, the makers of the film have released another song titled Shwaasalo earlier today. Sung by PVNS Rohit, Yamini Ghantasala, the number is lyricised and composed by MM Keeravani.

Shwaasalo takes us deep into the world of its characters Katari Ravindra Yadav and Obulamma amidst the Nallamalla forests, where they gradually fall for each other. They're in a space where they want to go all out to express their love for one another. The two wish to forget the world around them and experience oneness in the lap of nature. Love is in the air and they can do little to escape the madness that grips them. The song is a poetic expression of the various thoughts that cross their minds during this phase.

PVNS Rohit, after Obulamma, has yet again shown his maturity as a singer and impresses with his vocal depth. He depicts the intensity, tenderness and happiness in the delicate song situation and is more than ably complemented by Yamini Ghantasala's measured, calming voice. If you thought MM Keeravani did a fine job as a lyricist in Obulamma, you must listen to Shwaasalo to understand the depth of his literary prowess. The composition with minimal instrumentation is so intimate, soulful, flows beautifully and grows on you quickly.

Produced by Y Rajeev Reddy and J Sai Babu under First Frame Entertainments, Konda Polam has cinematography by VS Gnana Sekhar. Edited by Shravan Katikaneni, the film's art director is Raj Kumar Gibson. Bhanu has served as the dance choreographer while Aishwarya Rajeev is the costume designer. The other lyricists apart from MM Keeravani include Chandrabose and Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry.
