A few months ago, Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi had announced that she was ready with her third directorial project, Paper Rocket, a web series which is slated to drop on Zee5. The makers revealed a few days ago that the project will release on July 29. The team unveiled its fun-filled trailer yesterday at a gala event which was attended by a few celebs.
Silambarasan was one of the notable guests at the event. The actor was spotted with a beard which he never sported before. It looks like it is his appearance from the ongoing movie Pathu Thala.
Heaping praise for Kiruthiga's skills as a filmmaker, Silambarasan revealed that he was in talks with her for a project sometime ago. The Maanaadu star then went on to say that he doesn't believe in the so-called distinction that exists between male and female filmmakers.
He said, "I personally don't differentiate between male and female directors. A filmmaker has nothing to do with his/her gender. Gone are the days where male filmmakers tried to offer space to their female counterparts. The latter is now making a mark everywhere."
Silambarasan noted that he initially wondered whether Kiruthiga forayed into the filmdom because of her passion or to pursue it as a hobby. "I gradually realized her passion and have seen the effort she puts in making films. I'm proud and happy to have watched Paper Rocket's trailer," he said.
What impressed the actor was the element of positivity in the trailer. He opined that it is much-needed in today's world where negativity spreads faster. "It's good to see that the makers of Paper Rocket have chosen a subject which spreads happiness and love," Silambarasan added.
