Sivakarthikeyan's campus drama Don is likely to hit the screens on March 25

The shooting of debutant director Cibi Chakaravarthi's Don was wrapped up a while ago. Though the makers were planning to release the movie in theatres in February, the third wave of the pandemic played spoilsport to their plans. The Tamil Nadu state government has now lifted lockdown on Sundays and the permission for night shows have also been granted. 

Many Kollywood filmmakers are expected to announce the theatrical release of their projects in the coming week. Veeramae Vaagai Soodum is slated for a release on February 4, followed by Suriya's Etharkkum Thunindhavan, Arun Vijay's Yaanai, Ajith's Valimai and more. 

Sivakarthikeyan's Don, according to a few sources, will hit the screens on March 25. An official announcement on the same is expected to happen next week. The fun-filled campus drama has been bankrolled by the actor's home banner Sivakarthikeyan Productions and Lyca Productions.

Priyanka Arul Mohan is paired opposite Siva for the second time after Nelson Dilipkumar's Doctor (streaming on Netflix) which released a few months ago. Samuthirakani, SJ Suryah, Cooku With Comali (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) fame Sivaangi, Kaali Venkat and Soori among others play pivotal characters in the film for which Anirudh has composed music. The first single from the movie, Jalabula Jungu, which was released recently, has been lapped up by fans of Anirudh and Siva. 

KM Bhaskaran and Nagooran have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the movie, which was mostly shot in and around Coimbatore. Shobi and Sandy have composed dance moves for Don while Vicky has choreographed its action sequences.

Ravi Kumar's sci fi flick Ayalaan, Rajkumar Periasamy's untitled movie and Anudeep's yet to be titled bilingual projects are other films Siva currently has in his kitty. The shooting of Anudeep's project is expected to begin in a few days' time.
