Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirms Iron Man's ‘Endgame’ farewell is irreversible

Marvel President Kevin Feige has quashed rumours of Robert Downey Jr.'s return as Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Emphasising the significance of preserving Tony Stark's impactful farewell in Avengers: Endgame, Feige and co-director Joe Russo have affirmed that there are no plans to revisit or alter the character's fate, even as part of a multiverse storyline. Despite Marvel's history of resurrecting characters, Feige states that the team worked diligently for years to reach that poignant moment and has no intention of undermining Stark's sacrifice for box office gains. Robert Downey Jr.'s portrayal of Iron Man concluded in 2019's Avengers: Endgame after starring in 10 films, marking a pinnacle in film franchise history. Feige assures fans that they are committed to keeping that moment untouched, respecting the emotional investment of both the cast and audience.

'House of the Dragon' Season 2 promises emotional depths for Corlys Velaryon's journey

During the recent HBO panel at CCXP in Brazil, Steve Toussaint, who portrays Corlys Velaryon in House of the Dragon, has teased an emotionally charged journey for his character. Corlys Velaryon aka The Sea Snake, haunted by past deeds, compels him to adopt humility. Despite expectations for a revenge-driven narrative, Toussaint reveals a surprising emotional depth to Corlys' arc. Additionally, a shift in dynamics with his wife Rhaenys, played by Eve Best, is anticipated, as Corlys decides to heed her advice promptly. While Season 2 of the highly anticipated House of the Dragon may not showcase violent recklessness, Toussaint hints at Corlys biding his time for future retribution. HBO is set to premiere House of the Dragon Season 2 in the summer of 2024, with specific release details yet to be disclosed.

HBO films developing darkly comic movie on disgraced Congressman George Santos

In the aftermath of George Santos becoming the first U.S. House member to be expelled in over two decades, HBO Films has confirmed the development of a movie based on Mark Chiusano's book, The Fabulist: The Lying, Hustling, Grifting, Stealing, and Very American Legend of George Santos. Penned by Mike Makowsky, the film, led by Frank Rich, known for HBO's Veep and Succession, is described as a forensic and darkly comic examination of the unprecedented congressional race in Long Island that saw Santos elected to Congress. The movie explores the Gatsby-esque journey of a man who exploited the system, waged war on truth, and swindled one of the wealthiest districts in the country to fulfil his American Dream. The project takes a deep dive into the scandals surrounding Santos, adding an extra layer to the saga of his expulsion from the House and the legal challenges he faces.
