Ever since Alia Bhatt announced her next movie Jigra, fans and followers have been eagerly awaiting detail s about the project. The excitement is heightened as Bhatt collaborates with director Vasan Bala, known for "Monica Oh My Darling." A new update about the project reveals that Sobhita Dhulipala, famous for her role in "Made In Heaven," has now joined "Jigra" to play a pivotal part.

Sobhita Joins Jigra

The cast of "Jigra" seems to be growing with each passing day. While Alia Bhatt takes the lead, Vedang Raina is also attached to the project. According to a viral post from an X (formerly known as Twitter) handle named OTT Stream Updates, Sobhita Dhulipala has joined Alia Bhatt and Raina in the Vasan Bala directorial. There is no official confirmation on this so far.

However, netizens believe they have found a way to confirm the news after Alia Bhatt recently followed Sobhita Dhulipala on Instagram. This has convinced them that Sobhita is indeed joining Alia in "Jigra."

About Jigra Teaser

The movie, as per the teaser shared, revolves around a sister hustling and defeating baddies to protect her brother. The short announcement teaser was an animated clip with an anime vibe and a piece of soul-stirring background music. Varun Grover will pen the lyrics, and Achint Thakkar will compose the music.

Speaking about "Jigra" to Film Companion, Alia Bhatt recently said, “I believe stories are everywhere, and stories are everything! I turned producer with 'Eternal Sunshine' to tell some of these stories, ones that evoke emotions and leave an impact. Our first production, 'Darlings,' got so much love that it was exciting and overwhelming at the same time."

“Just a little over a year later, we are ready to launch our second production – 'Jigra,' a beautiful story of courage, passion, and determination. I hope to consistently support compelling narratives that are authentic and enduringly timeless and work with brilliant creative minds to bring them alive," she added.
