Soumitrisha meets with an accident and goes through a minor surgery

Actress Soumitrisha met with an accident recently. She was shooting an ad film at a hotel in Kolkata when the accident took place. After completing the shoot, the actress had to visit a hospital. 

Soumitrisha, who became a household name after her popular TV serial Mithai, fell off a staircase and wounded her toenail. After first aid, she completed the shoot. However, the situation worsened when she got back to her home. She had to go to a hospital where she had minor surgery.

Soumitrisha took her Instagram and shared photos of her wound. In an interview with Anandabazar, the actress said, “I went for a photo shoot and I suddenly fell. I did not realise how I hurt the nail. Despite the fall, I completed the shooting.” 

Elaborating on the surgery, the actress said, “Yes, there was a small surgery. Since there was some local anesthesia, I did not feel the pain then. I am back home and now I feel the excruciating pain. I am on painkillers.” The actress will be homebound for the next few days. The area of the wound needs to be guarded from dirt and dust. 

Soumitrisha started her career as a television actress and recently graduated to the big screen. She worked opposite none other than Dev in his Christmas release, Pradhan.
