Saagar K Chandra directs the mass entertainer produced by 14 Reels Plus
Bellamkonda Sreenivas, who made his Hindi debut with Chatrapathi last year, is returning to Telugu cinema after a three-year-long sabbatical (his Telugu last release was Alludu Adhurs in 2021). He is joining hands with Bheemla Nayak filmmaker Saagar K Chandra for a mass entertainer, which was tentatively titled BSS 10 until recently. Ram and Gopi Achanta of 14 Reels Plus are the producers.
Commemorating the lead actor’s birthday, the makers of BSS10 unveiled the title and the film’s first glimpse today. The mass entertainer is now officially titled Tyson Naidu and Bellamkonda Sreenivas has decided to don the khaki avatar for the same. It’s the second time he’s playing a cop in a film after Kavacham in 2018. The female lead of Tyson Naidu is yet to be announced.
In the first glimpse, Sreenivas laughs at a superior’s response to a question about what he would do when attacked by a hefty buffalo. He is later introduced as a DSP and the glimpse alternates between two action sequences - one where he packs a punch at a boxing ring and another, where he overcomes an attack by a series of men. In both cases, he emerges triumphant.
The pompous background score by Bheems Ceciroleo further enhances the appeal of the glimpse and the larger-than-life stunt choreography promises to be a feast for action junkies. Sreenivas sports a bearded look in the project. The film’s shoot began in mid 2023 and it is expected to hit screens in the first half of this year. Mukessh Gnanesh cranks the camera for Tyson Naidu.
Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, the veteran technician, is the editor. Vijay, Venkat, and Real Satish have choreographed the stunts. Avinash Kolla and Kiran Kumar are the art directors. 14 Reels Plus, the banner behind Tyson Naidu, has produced films like Sreekaaram, Sarileru Neekevvaru and Gaddalakonda Ganesh in the past. Other details about Tyson Naidu’s cast, release date will be out shortly.
