Stop looking for a secret door and start living, says Saani Kaayidham actor Selvaraghavan

Filmmaker Selvaraghavan, who is also the elder brother of actor Dhanush, seems to agree with American novelist Lev Grossman's statement that people must enjoy their lives rather than looking for a "secret door" that is going to lead them to their "real lives".

The director-turned-actor, who was seen in Saani Kaayidham and Beast, took to Instagram to post one of Grossman's statements, calling it "The truth".

The statement that Selvaraghavan posted read, “For just one second, look at your life and see how perfect it is. Stop looking for the next secret door that is going to lead you to your real life. Stop waiting. This is it: there's nothing else. It's here, and you'd better decide to enjoy it or you're going to be miserable wherever you go, for the rest of your life, forever.”

Meanwhile, on the directorial front, Selvaraghavan is awaiting the release of Naane Varuven, which features Dhanush and Swedish actress Elli Avrram in the lead.

The film, which is in its final stages of post-production, has triggered huge expectations as Dhanush and Selvaraghavan are working together on a film after almost 11 years.

Dhanush plays double action in this one, which has been by and large shot in Ooty. Sources close to the actor say that the film is about a Deja Vu feeling experienced by two similar-looking individuals.

Naane Varuven marks the fifth collaboration between Dhanush and Selvaraghavan after Thulluvadho Ilamai, Kaadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai, and Mayakkam Enna. Bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu under his home banner, V Creations, Naane Varuven has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film, further, stars Prabhu and Indhuja in key roles. Selvaraghavan will also be playing a crucial role in it.
