The internet is technically full of spoilers and upsetting bits for you if you're a Stranger Things fan who doesn’t like to see the leaked content that makes its way to the internet before the show has even finished production. But we cannot even blame the ones enjoying it and the ones serving because the wait for the finale season of the hit Netflix show has been only increasing with new roadblocks, and now as the cast smoothly shoots for the new season (and we hope they continue), there are multiple new photos on the internet. But wait, are these confirming a time jump?

The Leaked BTS Stills

We understand the curiosity for anything about Stranger Things and especially the season 5. The X (formerly called Twitter) handle Stranger Things Spoiler is working overtime to give us some behind-the-scenes stills from the sets of Hawkins as the team now shoots for the finale season of the show. The new stills that made their way to the internet feature Mike played by Finn Wolfhard and Dustin played by Gaten Matarazzo. However, this is the second time Dustin’s onset pictures have come out.

In Finn Wolfhard’s still, we can see him dressed as the character walking around on the set. This possibly is the school, and they are shooting for a sequence there. As for Gaten, he can be seen wearing the same Hellfire club jersey as he wore in the pictures where he was shooting near Eddie Munson’s (Joseph Quinn) grave. Fans have been going crazy dissecting the pictures that are now viral on the internet. Check out the pictures right below.

How Do They Confirm Time Leap

Well, there is already news out there which says Stranger Things season 5 jumps 2 years ahead from the events of season 4. So technically the gang will grow up. We can already see some changes in Mike’s appearance in the pictures which show that he has aged a bit on the show. However, this could also be the actor growing up in real life, and the makers fixing it in the post-edit. But the rumours of a leap are strong. But what is also interesting is that Finn Wolfhard is now sporting the haircut from season one. So will there be a flashback?

However, the biggest of the clues has to be the book that is spotted in one of the pictures. It is a 1988 edition whereas the fourth season of Stranger Things was set in 1986. Which means the possibility of a jump cannot be ruled out. If this turns out to be true, the rumours of Dustin fighting for Justice for Eddie will be a full movement, and him visiting his grave even two years after the tragedy is a very emotional turn in the story now.

About Stranger Things Season 5

The upside-down has now touched the school, and Vecna is up to creating some havoc. There is no plot line for the show revealed as of yet. However, we know Duffer Brothers are on to something massive since this is their swan song to Netflix’s crown jewel. They are bringing back the recurring cast that includes Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Maya Hawke, Sadie Sink, Noah Schnapp, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, and ensemble.
