Sudeep’s Vikrant Rona trailer: Fans hopeful of it being screened along with big other language films soon

Earlier this year, producer-distributor Manjunath Gowda, who is backing the Kiccha Sudeep-starrer fantasy action-drama Vikrant Rona , had categorically stated that the film would be in theatres when night and weekend curfews are withdrawn and 100% occupancy is allowed. At the time, the film had zeroed in on a February 25 release date, but with no word on any relaxations that would have favoured the team, they decided to push Vikrant Rona ahead indefinitely. Only a week later the state government announced 100% occupancy, following which a plethora of Kannada films lined up for release, including on Vikrant Rona’s earlier date.

All the big Tamil and Telugu releases – Valimai, RRR , Bheemla Nayak , Radhe Shyam , Acharya, Beast , etc. – that are normally big competition to Kannada films also came up with dates, starting in late February and going on to April, but there’s been no word from team Vikrant Rona. Fans who have been patiently waiting for some news appear to be losing their calm, wondering why there’s radio silence as far as an announcement or promotions go. This is Vikrant Rona’s second postponement, having earlier announced an August date and then February this year. With most weekends till the end of April now taken up by big films, the buzz is that Vikrant Rona will target mid-May for its release. One fan even claimed to have confirmed news that it will be a May 19, 2022 release. 

In the meantime, several Twitter discussions also point to the possibility of the Vikrant Rona trailer coming out soon, bundled for screening with some of the upcoming big-ticket releases. This was the plan earlier too, when RRR was supposed to be a January 7 release. So, when will the film finally make its date with audiences?
