Actor and MP Sunny Deol, who made multiple headlines last year for his blockbuster film, Gadar 2, is in trouble now. The actor is accused of forgery, extortion, and cheating by a producer. Film producer Sorav Gupta (of Sundawn Entertainment Pvt Ltd) has made shocking accusations against the actor.
According to a report in HT City, a former real estate developer turned producer, Sorav Gupta said at a press conference that Deol had taken money from him in advance promising to make a movie in 2016. He even stated that the actor has continued to take money making false promises about starting the film but has abandoned it after his film, Gadar 2 became a box office success.
Gupta tells HT City, “We gave him ₹1cr in advance but instead of starting my film, he opted to shoot for Poster Boys (2017) instead. He kept asking me for more money and by now my ₹2.55cr is in Sunny ji’s account. He also made me give money to another director, book Filmistaan studio and get an executive producer."

The producer also alleges that Sunny Deol forged an agreement with his company in the year 2023. He said that when they read the agreement, the actor changed the page and changed the fee amount from ₹4cr to ₹8cr and even changed the profit to ₹2cr.
In the same conference where Gupta revealed these shocking details, filmmaker Suneel Darshan also backed him claiming he has the same issues as Sunny. He said, “Sunny Deol acquired rights from my movie Ajay (1996) for overseas distribution and only made a partial payment. The balance payment never came through'' and added, “Later, Sunny requested me to work on a project with him, saying, ‘Have faith in me, help me out’, and got me to pay him again."
Sunny Deol or his team has not responded to the allegations yet.
