Suriya 43, the highly anticipated 43rd outing of popular actor Suriya, is set to go on floors very soon. The project, which is touted to be a period action drama, is helmed by the talented filmmaker Sudha Kongara. As reported earlier, the much-awaited untitled project is set to go on floors in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, very soon. Meanwhile, GV Prakash, who composes the music for Suriya 43, recently dropped a major update on its release plans.
Suriya 43 to release by the end of 2024, reveals GV Prakash
GV Prakash, the National award-winning musician, recently dropped some major updates on Suriya and Sudha Kongara’s ambitious project. In his chat with a Tamil online media, the actor-musician opened up about Suriya 43 while promoting the upcoming project Rebel. According to the music director, the highly anticipated project is slated to hit the big screens by the end of 2024, mostly in November or December. He also revealed that the period action drama will mark his 100th outing as a music composer.

As reported earlier, the makers of the much-awaited film dropped a major update on the title of the film with a special teaser a few months ago. It has been confirmed that the title of the Sudha Kongara directorial ends with the word ‘Purananooru’ (which is the name of the legendary poetic work from Sangam literature). From the title, it is safe to assume that the much-awaited project revolves around the concept of Veeram (Valour).

Nazriya Nazim Fahadh is set to play the female lead in Suriya 43. Dulquer Salmaan, the popular pan-Indian star is playing a pivotal role. Bollywood actor Vijay Varma is set to make his Tamil debut with the project, as the lead antagonist. The Suriya-starrer, which is produced by the actor’s home banner 2D Entertainment, is expected to go on floors on April 15, 2024. The movie will be widely shot at the various locations of Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh.
