One has to give Taylor Swift the award for being one of the most relevant pop sensations the world has ever witnessed because the globe has just experienced the cultural phenomenon. She is not just for the West but for the world as a whole. The singer, who went on an illustrious music tour named The Eras Tour, has been making headlines for close to a year and the fans went crazy when she announced that the tour would be released as a movie titled Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.
The movie made a massive buzz and was already a winner even before its release. After release, it only broke box office records and the world was shocked to see the demand. It turns out the concert documentary has now landed on OTT on Disney+ Hotstar but there is a twist.
If you have been following the buzz around Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour lately, you know what we are talking about. The concert documentary has been making waves for its digital release and it has finally hit the Indian shores on Disney+ Hotstar. There is so much demand for it, as the movie is one of the most anticipated movies of our time. But while the fans now rejoice in the magic of the pop star on their home screens, the buzz was also that the OTT version would have additional songs. But while there is indeed more content than in the theatres, there are still two songs missing.
If you have seen the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie on Disney+ Hotstar, the movie indeed has multiple additional songs that were not in the theatrical version of the movie. When it was first made available for rent on demand, the VOD version gave us three new tracks, namely The Archer from Lover, Wildest Dream from 1989, and Long Live from Speak Now. However, as the rumours had said, four more songs were then added to the Disney+ version and they included Cardigan, Death By A Thousand Cuts, You Are In Love, and Maroon.
However, even with seven extra songs released, there are still two more that were shot for the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie and did not even make it to the streaming version of the movie. HAIM, a sister rock band, opened the concert for Taylor Swift at some locations. The pop sensation sang No Body No Crime with them and has even recorded for the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Movie. Additionally, there was also Seven (interlude) that was recorded. However, both songs are not included in any of the versions that have been released.
However, the fans who, back in the day, witnessed Taylor Swift perform Seven (interlude) live have been obsessing over the performance to date. There is no reason why the makers chose to chop the two songs out. We hope someday we get to watch the clips of the two. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more updates on this and everything else in the world of streaming and films.
