This month on OTT has been about stories that are inspirational, about tragedies, and stories about people who have suffered and polished themselves to perfection so the harshness of life could not fade their charm. The first film this month that did this on OTT was The Iron Claw, which released on Lionsgate Play starring Zac Efron. The second, titled The Kota Factory season 3, will release tomorrow. And it turns out that is not all because there is a third contender on the list which released on SonyLIV this week: none other than the 2023 release The Hill that is now getting a digital home in India.

SonyLIV has been making sure to bring us some very interesting films and shows from across the world and re-release them in India. The streamer in the past couple of months has released many shows and films that cater to a wide range of audiences. They have an array of languages, genres, and sub-genres. The streamer has been making sure to build their Hollywood library much stronger than it already is, and it turns out they have now taken another step in the right direction. The Hill is now all set to join the library, and you can read on to know everything you should about the same.
The Hill is about to have round two on the streaming circle as the film is about to re-release on SonyLIV. The exciting part is that the movie will release this month, and to make you curious, it's this week. Yes, you read that right. The film is all set to hit the platform on June 21, which is two days from today, and will be available for all the subscribers of the platform and the OTTplay Premium subscription holders. There is no update on the drop timing as of now.
About The Hill
The Hill tells the true story of Rickey Hill and how he fought against physical, mental, and familial obstacles for a chance to play professional baseball. Colin Ford stars as the titular character, while Dennis Quaid plays his father. The movie, when it released on the big screen, made waves, and during its Netflix run in the West, was part of the top 10 movies for a really long time.
Back in the day, while in conversation with Moviefone, Colin Ford talked about his first reaction to reading the script: "I think my first reaction was, 'Oh my gosh, the stuff that this guy went through to achieve his dreams.' I think it was just that. It's like the adversity that he faced, the trials and tribulations. The faith that he had in himself, and the belief that he had in himself in order to achieve his dreams. All of that was very attractive to me. Then you have all the little extras. They're not really extras; they're key points too. You got Dennis Quaid, you got baseball, you got director Jeff Celentano, and writers Angelo Pizzo and Scott Marshall Smith. So it's like all of these factors encompassing into this dream gig.”
