Yes, the film starring Pierce Brosnan in the leading role will start streaming on JioCinema beginning May 31, 2024. The Last Rifleman: Film overview and inspiration
Artie Crawford (Brosnan), a WWII veteran from Northern Ireland, decides to sneak out of his care home on the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landings. He sets out on a perilous but ultimately uplifting journey from Northern Ireland to France to honour his best friend's memory and confront the demons from his past.
Bernard Jordan, a British D-Day soldier, departed from his English care facility and travelled to France; his narrative is partially based on the film. Michael Caine released The Great Escaper, another film based on Jordan's narrative, a few weeks earlier.
On November 5, 2023, Sky Cinema released the film instead of a theatrical release.

Prior to the release of The Last Rifleman, in a statement made by WestEnd MD Maya Amsellem, the production team expressed their utmost enthusiasm at the addition of Pierce Brosnan to the cast, praising Kevin Fitzpatrick's superb script and Terry Loane's brilliant storyline.
Originally slated to direct the film, Loane revealed that, upon first reading Fitzpatrick's screenplay, he found it to be a profound story brimming with authentic emotion. A strong, character-driven drama with just the right amount of emotion is what filmmakers are looking for in a script. A universal theme in war is the personal toll it takes on people.
Fitzpatrick added that this generation's grit was on full display in Bernard Jordan's fearless journey, which captivated the country. A dying man, the story's compelling protagonist, finds himself compelled to travel to a location that evokes nothing but terrible memories.
