Disney+Hotstar is shining brighter in the field of streaming platforms with new series and films,enthralling a wide variety of audiences. Recently, the OTT platform dropped the third installment of the Indian mythological-based animated series, “The Legend of Hanuman,” which premiered on January 12. Here’s a quick review of the first two episodes of season 3.

The Legend of Hanuman Story

The animated series is the combined efforts of creators - Sharad Devarajan, Jeevan J. Kang, and Charuvi Agrawal with the storyline carved by writers Sharad Devarajan, Sarvat Chadda, Jeevan J. Kang, and Shivangi Singh.

The story begins with a humungous venomous snake demon prowling an attack on Lord Ram, his brother Lakshmana, and Hanuman. Following the life-threatening attack by Ravana’s son Indrajeet, the story switches to a flashback sequence, where Hanuman emerges victorious after warding off a demonic creature. It also follows the cruel and tyrannical ruler Ravana declining the peaceful treaty between him and Ram. This led to the battleground shivering with the onset of the epic war. We also get to see a glimpse of the beautiful Sita imprisoned in the Ashok Vana as Ravana tries to weaken Lord Rama with trickery and deceit. The episodes aim to establish the war era and the consequences that led to the atrocious attacks with the role of Hanuman and the entire Vanar Sena as they all put their lives at risk to serve Lord Ram.

The Legend of Hanuman Review

Based on Valmiki’s Ramayana, the web series brings to life the tale of faith and courage that conquers the evil powers. The impressive use of Computer Graphics Imagery or CGI animation imparts a touch of reality, while emphasizing the visual appeal.

Several voice artists like Da Man as Hanuman, Sharad Kelkar as Ravan, and Sanket Mhatre as Ram, have lent their voices to make the series an epic tale of history and mythology.

Before the beginning of season 3, the makers have added a brief recap to ensure that those who jumpstarted with the third installment are also aware of the storyline.

The series delves into mythology, while also portraying different relationships apart from just the main ones. It explores their dilemmas and challenges while preparing for the epic battle.
