The project produced by Boney Kapoor will be released in Telugu as well on the same day under the title Tegimpu. Manju Warrier, Samuthirakani and John Kokken among others will be essaying prominent characters in the film which will drop on Netflix after a month.

During a recent media interaction, director Vinoth has opened up about the pressure he faces after fans continuously request for an update on the film's status. He said that there are limitations when it comes to releasing promo videos and stills from the movie as too much revealing would spoil the suspense.

According to him, a lot of things were revealed unintentionally in Valimai, the previous outing of Ajith and H Vinoth. Fans were upset with the lack of adequate update then which led to makers unveiling way too many videos after which moviegoers didn't have anything significant left to watch in the actioner.

Vinoth has also added that the first half of Thunivu will be satisfying the fans of Ajith while the latter half is for all sections of audience. He requested everyone not to come with unrealistic expectations and suggested watching the film with an open mind.

Though the movie's plot revolves around a bank robbery, it is heard that makers have included several unexpected elements in the film which is likely to leave cinephiles excited.
