The news of Real Star Upendra being admitted to a hospital got his millions of fans super anxious. The actor-director fell ill during the shoot of his upcoming directorial UI and was taken to a private hospital for immediate medical intervention.
Reportedly, Upendra had a few bouts of cough due to a dust allergy which, in turn, caused an issue in his breathing. The team of UI would immediately summon medical help onto the sets and later take him to a hospital for a thorough check-up.
However, fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as the latest social media posts reveal that he is back on the sets of UI, all hail and hearty. As seen in a video message posted by a few netizens and film reporters, Upendra has resumed work after a brief health scare and even urged his ardent fans to stop worrying.
"I am at the Mohan B. Kere studio right now along with my manager and the entire direction team. There's nothing wrong with my health, I feel completely fine. There was a small episode of cough because of too much dust and smoke around me but this seems to have been blown out of proportion slightly. I would urge everyone to make too big a deal out of this - as you can see, I am doing great and, in fact, we are going for the shoot as we speak," said the Kabzaa actor in the video note to his fans.
Upendra is returning to the director's chair after a gap of nearly 8 years, having previously helmed Uppi 2 back in 2015. Fans are keenly looking forward to what he has to offer with UI, a project that has evoked a lot of curiosity and interest ever since the first look was unveiled a few months ago. While the subject matter of the film remains a secret, the team recently revealed that Pancharangi girl Nidi Subbaiah will play a pivotal role in UI. Nidhi, who has been on a sabbatical, of sorts, for a few years, will make her comeback with the film.
