Varalaxmi Sarathkumar gets engaged to longtime friend Nicolai Sachdev; PICS win the internet

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, the popular Tamil actress is now set to enter the wedlock soon. As per the recent updates, Varalaxmi, who is the eldest daughter of senior actor Sarathkumar and his ex-wife Chaya, recently got engaged to Nicolai Sachdev. According to the reports, Nicolai, who is a gallerist by profession, is a longtime friend of the Vikram Vedha actress.

The soon-to-be-wedded couple, who have known each other for the past 14 years, started dating a couple of years back. The pictures of the couple's engagement ceremony are now winning the internet.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar gets engaged to Nicolai Sachdev

Reportedly, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Nicolai Sachdev got engaged at an intimate ceremony held in Mumbai, on March 1, 2024, Friday. The ceremony, which was a private affair, was only attended by the family members and a few close friends of the soon-to-be-wedded couple. Later, the Raayan actress took to her official social media handles and shared some lovely clicks from the wedding with a caption that reads: “Engaged... love laughter and happily ever after...”

In the pictures, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Nicolai Sachdev are seen posing with the actress’s mother Chaya, father R Sarathkumar and his wife Raadika Sarathkumar, and sisters, Pooja and Rayne Mithun. The beautiful bride opted for a white silk saree with a golden zari border, which she paired with a printed rani pink blouse and diamond jewellery. The groom, on the other hand, is seen in the traditional white shirt and veshti.

Raadika Sarathkumar wishes Varalaxmi and Nicolai

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar’s stepmother Raadika Sarathkumar took to her social media handles and shared a few pictures and videos from the ceremony recently. The senior actress, who shares a warm bond with her step-daughter, penned a heartwarming caption that reads: “Wishing nothing but happiness to @varusarath and Nicolai Sachdev as they got engaged yesterday in Mumbai, with family and friends to bless her. We are all so happy for her.”

Even though the families are yet to finalise the wedding date of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Nicolai Sachdev, the recent updates suggest that the couple will tie the knot later this year. When it comes to her work front, the actress will be next seen in Raayan, the upcoming directorial venture of popular actor Dhanush, which started rolling recently.
