Vijay Antony completes shooting for CS Amudhan's Ratham; makers keep the actor's look under wraps

CS Amudhan's thriller flick starring Vijay Antony in the lead was titled Ratham earlier this year. The team had revealed its first look as well and revealed that Mahima Nambiar, Ramya Nambeesan and Nandita Swetha will play female leads in the movie. Amudhan has now taken to his Twitter page to give an update about the project.

He has revealed that with the completion of a crucial schedule in Kolkata, Vijay has completed shooting for the film. The team is nearing the end of its shooting; what is left is a small, but significant portion which will be canned in Spain.

He also posted a couple of working stills in which the team is seen shooting on Howrah bridge. Amudhan is seen giving instructions to the crew while standing inside a bus. The filmmaker added that he chose not to reveal Vijay's stills from location purposefully as the team has kept his current look under wraps.

Ratham brings together Amudhan and Vijay for the first time; the duo were college mates during their younger days. The film is Amudhan's fourth directorial project; his last outing was Thamizh Padam 2 (streaming on Amazon Prime Video). His second film, Rendavathu Padam, which was completed a few years ago, is yet to see the light of the day.

Amudhan had recently revealed that the two of them had planned to join hands for a comedy which was titled Naaka Mukka, but it didn't materialize for some reasons. Ratham has Amudhan co-writing the script with writers Athisha and Karki Bava.

Vijay Antony, who was last seen in Kodiyil Oruvan (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), currently has half a dozen projects in his kitty, including Pichaikkaran 2, which marks his directorial debut.
