The director, he says has narrated yet another story to him on the sets of Aneethi
The team of Arjun Das's Aneethi is gearing up for the film's release, which is all set to hit screens worldwide on July 21. Meanwhile, it looks like the film's director Vasanthabalan has narrated yet another story to Arjun. Speaking at the film's recent media interaction, Arjun Das said, "During the shoot of Aneethi, he narrated yet another story to me. It was quite a 'bayangaramana kathai'. I hope I get to work with you again, sir."
The actor added that he didn't believe that he was the lead actor of Aneethi, when he was approached for the film. "Vasanthabalan sir called me one day and I thought I was being considered for the role of the villain. He narrated the story for almost three hours and the very next day, we confirmed the film. I got to work with many artistes and the entire team has been quite supportive from day one. I am glad I got the opportunity and the journey has been an amazing one. The music by GV Prakash Kumar is outstanding as well."
Meanwhile, Dushara was all praise for the film's director. "Aneethi is an important film in my career graph. Vasanthabalan sir's dedication towards the films cannot be explained in words. I learnt a lot from him. Even on the days he was unwell, he would wear a mask and get back to work. He was inspiring and I am grateful for this opportunity."
Aneethi marks the maiden collaboration between Arjun Das and Vasanthabalan. The film has an ensemble cast which comprises Suresh Chakravarthy, Vanitha Vijayakumar, Bharani, Aranthangi Nisha, Kali Venkat, Sara and Arjun Chidambaram to name a few. Aneethi is touted to be a revenge drama and there seems to be some heavy-duty action sequences in store.
Since Vasanthabalan's last outing Jail didn't set the cash registers ringing, all eyes are on his upcoming film, Aneethi.
