Life in today's world is absolutely fast paced. Be it the physical strength or the mental one, one has to be alert always. While one can always take resort to healing methods like meditation for mental health, but, for physical health, one has to not just prioritise their health and fitness, but also ensure that they follow the routine regularly.

Bollywood is no different. Today (April 7), is celebrated as World Health Day all across. On the occasion of such a ‘fit’ day, let us look at eight celebrities across Bollywood, who have not just been advocating good health, but also have been practicing it and inspiring others to do so.

Alia Bhatt
It cannot get more ironical than this one. Even though Alia Bhatt debuted with the film ‘Student Of The Year’, today, she is not less than a teacher, when it comes to taking care of one’s health and being dedicated towards it.

Despite having a choc-a-bloc schedule, this Bollywood superstar always makes it a point to find time to religiously do yoga and also Pilates, the two aspects of her life, which she always swears by. No wonder then, Alia always looks super fit and raring to go, both, on camera and off it!

Katrina Kaif
She is the ‘teacher’ of the ‘teacher’. In simple words, Katrina Kaif is someone who takes her health extremely seriously. Alia Bhatt has always attributed the Tiger 3 heroine to be the inspiration for her work out and also that someone special who always encourages her to hit the gym and be focussed on good health.

For all those who have always wondered about the magic behind Katrina Kaif being able to effortlessly pull off those stunts in her films, now you know the secret- good health, good health, and just good health!

Deepika Padukone
Whenever one talks about health, chances are bright that a person must be mostly referring to physical health. But, Deepika Padukone is someone who has always been emphasizing on physical health as well as mental health too. As a step in that direction, she has even started off with ‘Live Love Laugh’, her pet project NGO, which ‘aims to give hope to every person experiencing stress, anxiety and depression’.

On the other hand, just like Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone too swears by Pilates and yoga as for her physical health.

Anushka Sharma
That she is a total pro when it comes to playing varied roles on screen, but the fact also remains that, Anushka aces it even better when it comes to playing ‘various roles’ off screen as well. Besides being an actress, Anushka is also a producer. In addition to all that, the pretty actress is also a mother, wife, daughter and also a sister to a brother who is abroad!

She fulfils all her commitments towards the aforementioned with her trademark smile on the face. And the secret to that is her commitment towards her health. Reports state that, Anushka swears by cardio, weight training, yoga, Pilates and also ‘Functional Training’. Take a bow, Anushka …

Akshay Kumar
It just will not be wrong to call Akshay Kumar as the flagbearer of good health in Bollywood. By his own admission, he has always spoken about how he avoids going to late night parties and being completely aloof from vices like drinking and smoking.

Testimony to his health can be derived from a certain episode on the Kapil Sharma Show, where Akshay’s co-stars of Housefull viz., Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan, who recalled their experience of living the ‘Akshay Kumar life’. Both Riteish and Abhishek recalled that, after the pack up, when Akshay wanted to ‘party’ and they agreed, his idea of party was to walk back many kilometres to the hotel as walking is essential for good health!

Even though the duo and Kapil Sharma laughed at the incident, one just cannot do away with the many benefits of walking, which Akshay Kumar practices regularly.

Tiger Shroff
Besides Akshay Kumar, there is also his co-star from Bade Miyan Chote Miyan- Tiger Shroff, who always gives health goals to everyone. His social media feeds are always heaven to the health goals. As per the reports available, Tiger Shroff takes care of his health by hitting the gym and sweating it out there for at least 4-5 hours to say the least, when he has time from his shooting!

Besides that, Tiger also has a penchant for outdoor sports like football, kickboxing and gymnastics!

John Abraham
There cannot be more apt of an example and testimony to what keeping fit can do a person. In his website, the Dishoom actor has himself mentioned that, ‘Fitness is the only religion I know’. In addition to this, he has also highlighted the importance of choosing the right food, having adequate and proper timely sleep and also the workout routine schedule.

In the same website, the actor, very categorically, advises everyone to strictly avoid crash diets and late nights and most importantly, not to take resort to any of the shortcuts to get a good body! He sums up the concept of good health by advising everyone to try to live a clean and responsible life and also to be honest with oneself and the people around them.

In addition to that, John also tells everyone that, ‘At the end of the day, having six (or even eight) pack abs means nothing if your outlook and attitude aren’t in equally good shape’. We just cannot argue on that one!

Anupam Kher
As they say, save the best for the last. When the veteran actor Anupam Kher took to social media and posted this particular photograph, it took the internet by storm. One really has to give it to this man for really having mastered the art of stunning everyone. Looking back, he stunned everyone with his debut film Saaransh itself, when he was merely 27 years old and had portrayed (with extreme conviction) the role of a 70-year-old man.

And when this man is nearing his seventies (even though age is just a number for people like him), he is proudly showing off his ‘chiselled physique’ which can put even a 27-year-old fitness freak to utter shame!
