Venkat Prabhu's political thriller Maanaadu has been garnering positive response from critics and audience alike since its release on November 25. The film is the fourth blockbuster in Kollywood this year after Master (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), Karnan (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) and Doctor (streaming on Netflix).
The cast and crew of the film had taken to their social media accounts to express happiness at the response they have been receiving from the audience. Silambarasan, who played the protagonist in the movie, was the last to have come up with a heartfelt note on his association with the project.
Now, the film's music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has been receiving praises from several quarters, has issued a release in which he has thanked everyone for the mammoth success of the film. According to him, Maanaadu has been a special project for him and close to his heart.
He said, "My erstwhile collaborations with Venkat Prabhu and Silambarasan have had myriad songs, but this is the first time our collaboration had a limited number of tracks. However, I am completely spellbound over the way, music lovers and audiences have noticed my efforts in BGM and appreciated them."
Yuvan also said that he he is feeling proud of Silambarasan, who is a like a friend and a brother for him, for the latter's dedication towards the film. He also showered praise on SJ Suryah, who played the antagonist, for exercising his complete energy into the movie.
Silambarasan and Yuvan had earlier teamed up for Manmadhan, Vallavan, Silambattam, Vaanam and Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan.
