The series is directed by Alex Gabassi and written by Sarah Phelps. Phelps even develops a backstory for Poirot. Harry Potter star Rupert Grint essays the role of Inspector Crome. Andrew Buchan, Eamon Farren, Jack Farthing, Gregor Fisher, Tara Fitzgerald, Henry Goodman and Shirley Henderson also feature in the series.
