In Mithya, Huma Qureshi plays Juhi, a Hindi literature professor, and Avantika Dassani plays her student, Rhea Rajguru. Juhi incriminates her with plagiarism and cheating allegations which Rhea staunchly denies. There's blackmailing and verbal attacks, leading to a classic tale of deception and subterfuge. The narrative slips into a murky psychological tussle between the two, which attempts to question the nature of truth and falsehood. It is a six-part series directed by Rohan Sippy and produced by Applause Entertainment in collaboration with Rose Audio visual production. Parambrata Chatterjee, recently seen in Netflix's Raveena Tandon-led series Aranyak, also stars along with Rajit Kapur and Samir Soni.
