Aadu 3 Part 1 box office collection day 5: The latest Malayalam comedy film, starring actor Jayasurya, has seen an expected dip in its collections on its first Monday at the box office. Aadu 3 Part 1 collected only Rs 3.25 crore on day 5, as per trade tracker Sacnilk. But despite the dip, Aadu 3 notched up the record of the second-best opening weekend for a Malayalam movie after superstar Mohanlal’s hit film Empuraan.

Did Aadu 3 break any box office record

Aadu 3 Part 1 Last Ride, which hit cinemas on March 19, 2026, has collected nearly Rs 85 crore gross in the first four days at the box office, as per Sacnilk. Though an impressive number, this fails to break L2: Empuraan's record of Rs 174 crore gross in the first four days of the long weekend, Sacnilk has reported. Empuraan, starring Mohanlal and helmed by actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran, released in theatres on March 27, 2025, and went on to become the highest-grossing Malayalam film before it was surpassed by Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra.

On the other hand, Aadu 3’s total India collections stand at Rs 34.34 crore after five days at the box office.

Helmed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, the film has made Rs 87 crore in four days, as per the social media post put out by the makers.

Jayasurya Films To Binge Now

The third installment of the comedy franchise, which returned with the misadventures of Shaji Pappan and the gang, is minting impressive numbers even amid concerns over Middle East conflicts. Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3, which was slated to hit theatres on April 2 has been postponed and will now release on the superstar’s birthday on May 21.

Aadu 3’s immediate competition would be from the political movie Prathichaya, starring Nivin Pauly and helmed by B Unnikrishnan, on March 26.

Drishyam 3 is undoubtedly the most anticipated Malayalam movie of the year, and with the Mohanlal-starrer out of the race, it levels out the field for other Mollywood flicks.
