Seasoned actor Joju George, who was seen in a couple of Tamil films such as Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life and Suriya’s Retro in 2025, has joined hands with the veteran Urvashi for the upcoming Malayalam film, titled Aasha. The second look poster from the film has been released, which features both Urvashi and Joju George. The film is slated to be a 2026 release.

Actor-filmmaker Joju George took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal the second-look poster from the film, teasing a twisted plot The poster features Urvashi in the foreground looking into the camera, while Joju George is seen in a side profile. Notably, only half of the actors' faces are seen in the poster, though both had an intense look. Sharing the poster, the Pani director said, “Wishing you a plot twist of joy this Christmas.” Aasha marks the first collaboration between Urvashi and Joju George. As both actors are known for their layered and nuanced performances, the audience can expect a riveting film. More details about the plot are not known.
Joju George has penned the script along with Ramesh Girija and Safar Sanal, who is making his directorial debut with Aasha.
The poster also confirmed that the film will hit theatres soon, but a release date was not given. Aasha will release in 5 languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. Joju George’s another upcoming film Valathu Vashathe Kallan helmed by Drishyam director Jeethu Joseph, will release on January 30.
Actress Aishwarya Lekshmi, who also featured in Tamil films including the popular Maaman, is also a part of Aasha. Notably, the Urvashi film also features senior actor Vijayaraghavan, who won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for Pookkaalam. Urvashi had also been honored at the National Awards for the Best Supporting Actor for Ullozhukku. Urvashi was last seen in Dileep’s film Prince and Family.
