Ikkis release date postponed

As per Bollywood Hungama, Ikkis will not be released on November 7. Citing the reason behind it, the source added, "The decision was taken by producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films who felt that the first week of November and post-Diwali time will be ideal for their movie."

An industry insider further informed the portal that this is a good move as two major films are scheduled for release on October 2 - Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Kantara: A Legend - Chapter 1, so November 7 is a better date in that regard.

Ikkis teaser

The announcement teaser for Ikkis shows the remarkable life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra award, and it is set against the dramatic and moving backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. It stars Agastya Nanda, Dharmendra, and Jaideep Ahlawat.

The caption on the post of the teaser video read, "Dinesh Vijan & Maddock Films Present #Ikkis- A True Story of a Brave Soldier and Son, Arun Khetarpal, India’s Youngest Param Vir Chakra Hero. Releasing in cinemas worldwide on 2nd Oct 2025."

About Ikkis

Agastya Nanda will play the titular role of a heroic soldier, Arun Khetarpal. His courage and sacrifice are etched in India's military history. The announcement video shows that the narrative is introduced through a heartfelt letter written during the Basantwar War in 1971. This letter, written by Arun Khetrapal to his father, contains the terrible news of his son's death in the war on December 16. The tone of the letter is sad and deeply respectful, expressing condolences for this immense loss.

Speaking about Ikkis, director Raghavan earlier told the Indian Express, “It is a war film, and it is a drama. It was a break from the kind of movies I was doing, and I wanted that, so that the next time I am doing a thriller, I feel fresh. That there is no baggage."
