Along with a task given for captain selection, the contestant who gets chosen as captain can get a 15-week nomination-free pass. This means the person has an edge over others to remain in the house for 15 weeks, that is, throughout the season. But there is a twist. Apart from the regular format that the captain cannot be nominated for eviction, they also get the advantage of being nominated for the captain task next week. So, contestants have the possibility to sustain for 15 weeks, provided they keep winning the captaincy every time.

What is captain task?

The first captaincy task is boiling the milk to the brim that it doesn’t overspill. Contestants, in batches of four, compete, with the winner yet to emerge. Housemates Tushaar, Sabari, Nandhini, Kalaiyarasan, Parvathy, Apsara, Aadhirai, Vikram, FJ, Praveen Raj, and Kemy take part, with Kani left out. The captain of the house even gets to have a room all by themself.
