Bigg Boss Tamil 9: The first weekend episode featured Vijay Sethupathi engaging with housemates, offering praise and constructive criticism.

The first weekend episode of Bigg Boss Tamil 9 in which Vijay Sethupathi interacted for the first time with this season’s housemates was aired on Saturday. Vijay Sethupathi praised some while also shared his piece of advice to contestants, and to a few others, gave his own dose of medicine. The show can be streamed on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium.

Bigg Boss Tamil 9: Parvathy centre of blame

In one of the mini tasks during the weekend episode, contestants were asked to use a clapboard on those who think they are acting and living in the moment between ‘action’ and ‘cut’. Diwagar was the first to clap the board to FJ, Praveen Raj, and Kamrudin. Diwagar said Kamrudin has used words on him, sometimes even physically.

Meanwhile VJ Parvathy got the maximum clapboard takes, with many pointing out her nosy and content-hungry behaviour inside the house. Captain Tushaar also called out Parvathy for using Nandhini’s mental health to her benefit, and was joined by other housemates too.

Once Vijay Sethupathi signed off, Parvathy began to tear up to Kalaiyarasan and Diwagar. “I am not acting, but only expressing my opinions. I have been projected wrongly, even as I say good and bad about people.”

Bigg Boss Tamil 9: Vijay Sethupathi points out housemates' inactiveness

Vijay Sethupathi asked each housemate about their contributions to the house. As each of them talked about their activities, Kani pointed out how spending time in kitchen couldn’t help her to concentrate on other things. Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi also pointed out Aurora Sinclair’s visible absence in her interactivity. Aurora teared up during the break.

“There is nothing personal here, and what I speak here, is for your growth in the game. Every thing said here is for your good, and all of you once go out of the show, will go with good experience,” said Vijay Sethupathi to Aurora.

Kamrudin, who was the water supervisor of the house, was sarcastically reprimanded for missing out on collecting water several times. Subiksha and Ramya Joo, who volunteered to be water supervisors, were also questioned by Vijay Sethupathi on why they did not encourage their stances.

Vijay Sethupathi asked why Kamrudin is questioning only Bigg Boss housemates for not helping him, while leaving his Super Deluxe housemates out of question.

Praveen Gandhi, who had let out statements regarding gender behaviour, was also lectured by Vijay Sethupathi on a mild tone. He had said that women might not be able to pull the tank to save water.
